Why We Chose 27 August 2026 to Open Sun Connexion

When we decided to open the Sun Connexion Holistic Wellness Centre in Montville, we did not simply choose a convenient date.

As astrologers, we wanted the opening moment itself to reflect the kind of space we were trying to create.

So we looked at many different dates and times.

We moved the chart around, compared different options and accepted something important very early in the process. There is no perfect election chart.

Every chart contains strengths and challenges.

The aim was not to find perfection. It was to find a chart whose overall story matched the values, purpose and direction of Sun Connexion.

Eventually, we chose Thursday, 27 August 2026 at 8:20 am.

And the more we looked at the chart, the more it felt right.

A business ruled by Venus

Libra is rising in the opening chart.

For a centre focused on astrology, movement, healing and connection, Libra immediately felt appropriate.

Libra is associated with balance, harmony, beauty, relationships and the ability to bring different people together.

But what made the chart particularly strong was Venus.

Venus rules Libra, which means Venus becomes the ruler of the business.

At the moment of opening, Venus sits almost exactly on the Ascendant in the 1st house.

This gives Venus a very visible and powerful place in the chart.

Symbolically, we liked the idea that the first impression of the centre would be Venusian. Warm, welcoming, balanced and beautiful.

And when we finally opened the doors, that was exactly the feeling we wanted people to have when they walked in.

Opening just before the Pisces lunar eclipse

At the moment we opened Sun Connexion on Thursday, 27 August 2026 at 8:20 am, the Moon was still in Aquarius in the 5th house.

The Moon was waxing, which was important to us because we were beginning something that we wanted to grow.

I think of it like planting a young tree.

The tree already exists, but it is still developing roots, becoming stronger and learning how to respond to the environment around it.

Aquarius also brings themes of community, originality and doing things differently. This fits very naturally with what we want Sun Connexion to become.

But there was another important layer to this Moon.

The following day, on Friday, 28 August 2026, the Moon moved into Pisces and reached the lunar eclipse at 4°05 Pisces.

The exact peak of the eclipse was at 2:18 pm AEST on the east coast of Australia.

So we did not open during the eclipse itself.

We opened just before it.

That distinction matters.

The opening Moon was still in Aquarius, carrying the themes of community, connection and creating something different.

Then, within a little more than a day, the Moon moved into Pisces and into the eclipse.

For us, that gave the opening an interesting sense of transition.

Lunar eclipses can symbolise emotional clarity, release and the ending of patterns that are no longer useful. This particular Pisces eclipse also brought attention to the balance between dreams, intuition and spiritual ideals, and the practical realities of everyday life.

That felt very relevant to what we were creating.

Sun Connexion is not only about ideas, spirituality or inspiration.

It is also about practice. Showing up. Doing the work. Creating routines.

Learning how to bring what we understand about ourselves into ordinary life.

The eclipse arriving immediately after the opening therefore felt less like something to fear and more like part of the story.

We opened under an Aquarius Moon focused on community and new possibilities, just before a Pisces lunar eclipse asking for release, trust and a deeper alignment between our ideals and the way we actually live.

It felt like a threshold.

One chapter was ending while another was beginning.

Growth with structure

Saturn sits in the 6th house.

For some people, Saturn may not sound like the most exciting planet to choose for a business opening. For us, it made sense. The 6th house is connected with daily work, routines, service and the practical effort required to keep something functioning.

A centre like this cannot survive on inspiration alone.

There are classes to organise, consultations to prepare, people to support and a physical space to maintain. Saturn reminds us that meaningful work also requires discipline.

Even better, Saturn forms a trine with Jupiter in Leo in the 11th house.

Jupiter brings expansion and opportunity.

The 11th house is strongly connected with community, networks and the gains that grow from our work.

Saturn and Jupiter working together suggest something we particularly liked.

Growth, but with structure. Expansion, but with foundations.

Teaching, learning and sharing

Mars is in Cancer in the 9th house, very close to the Midheaven.

Mars close to the top of the chart gives energy, courage and ambition.

But because it remains in the 9th house, its drive is connected with teaching, learning, philosophy and the sharing of knowledge.

That felt very appropriate.

Astrology and yoga are both practices that ask us to keep learning.

Neither is something we ever completely finish studying.

The centre is therefore not only a place for treatments or classes. It is also a place for exploration.

Service and practical learning

The Sun is in Virgo, conjunct Mercury.

Virgo brings service, skill, improvement and attention to detail.

Mercury brings communication, learning, teaching and exchange.

This combination reflects another important part of what we want Sun Connexion to become. Something practical. We love spiritual ideas, but we also want people to leave with something they can use in everyday life. A clearer understanding.

A practice. A question to explore. A different way of looking at themselves.

Accepting the unexpected

The Sun and Mercury square Uranus in Gemini. This was one of the compromises we decided to accept. Uranus can bring sudden changes, surprises and the need to adapt.

But Uranus also brings originality and innovation. Perhaps that is not such a bad signature for a centre that combines astrology, movement, personal development and community in its own way. The chart does not promise that everything will go exactly according to plan. In fact, it almost suggests the opposite. And we did not have to wait very long to see that. Teaching yoga online was not part of the original plan.

It came from a very practical problem. The room was simply too small to comfortably fit the number of people we wanted to welcome. So we adapted. And that last-minute decision unexpectedly opened the classes to people around the world. To us, that feels very Uranian. A problem appears. You change the plan. And the solution takes you somewhere you had not originally imagined. Maybe that is one of the lessons built into this chart. Not everything has to go according to plan. Sometimes the unexpected change is what opens the next door.

The deeper purpose of the chart

One of the most interesting features of the opening chart is a Yod.

Pluto in Aquarius in the 5th house and Neptune in Aries in the 6th both point towards the Sun in Virgo in the 11th. For us, this gives the chart a deeper layer.

Pluto in the 5th speaks about personal transformation through creativity, authenticity and self-expression. Neptune in the 6th connects spirituality with daily practice and service. But Neptune in Aries also asks for personal responsibility. That is an important principle for us. We are not here to fix people. We are not here to tell people how they should live. We can offer tools, guidance, knowledge and a supportive environment.

The work itself still belongs to each individual. The Sun in Virgo in the 11th becomes the focal point. Service to a community. Practical tools. Learning. Growth.

And the resolution point in Pisces in the 5th reminds us to leave room for intuition, healing, creativity and trust. What I like about this Yod is that it does not describe a centre where people come to be “fixed”. It describes something much closer to what we actually want to create. A place where people are given space, tools and support to reconnect with themselves and do their own work.

Why this chart felt right

No election chart can guarantee success. Astrology does not remove the need for hard work, good decisions or common sense. But an election chart can describe the intention behind a beginning. And this one tells a story that feels very close to what we are trying to create. Venus brings warmth and connection. The waxing Moon brings growth. Aquarius and Jupiter bring community. Saturn brings discipline and longevity.

Virgo and Mercury bring service and learning. Mars brings the courage to act. Uranus reminds us to remain flexible. And the Yod gives the chart a deeper direction. To create a place where people can reconnect with themselves, learn, practise, grow and take responsibility for their own path.
